To find out the exact yardage of the target, I used my Bushnell Tour V2 golf range finder. Bushnell makes hunting range finders but both work fine. The difference with the hunting range finder is that it is more durable and has specific modes for riffle and bullet drops from different locations just as the golf one would have slope to see if your shooting up hill or down.
